Watch Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman's helmet do a 180 after a catch
San Diego Chargers receiver Dontrelle Inman is having the best season of his three-year career, and he added to it Sunday by doing something he’s probably never done before during a 28-21 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Inman’s 14-yard grab of a Philip Rivers pass early in the second quarter was impressive, but check out what happened at the end of the catch in the video above.
As he popped up following a tackle by Bucs cornerback Alterraun Verner, Inman’s helmet was completely backward -- but that didn't stop him from knowing which way to signal a first down.
Inman’s other catch (below) was a 35-yard touchdown, and he now has 40 receptions for 576 yards and three TDs this season. All those numbers are career bests.
