Waitress calls out DeAngelo Williams for 75-cent tip, reportedly gets fired

The customer is always right — even when the customer is a famous football player leaving a tiny tip.

One server at the Ledo Resturant in College Park, Md., apparently learned that lesson the hard way, after posting a Facebook message complaining that Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams tipped her 75 cents on a $128.26 bill. Williams was in town for a Monday night game against the Redskins.

The message, per TMZ:

Williams then took to Twitter to defend himself, saying he got bad service.

Ultimately, a co-owner of the restaurant, Jimmy Marcos, contacted TMZ and said the server would be fired for how she handled the situation —€” "We were in the wrong," he said.

"I want to offer anything I can do. I'll be sure to apologize in person next time he visits and pick up his next meal," Marcos told TMZ.
