Vincent Jackson Says There's No Issues With Him

A lot of criticism has come down on Vincent Jackson recently – albeit somewhat warranted – but he doesn’t believe there are any issues worth being worried about.

Vincent Jackson has been under a microscope recently, a reaction to two very poor games to start the season. Some have questioned his work ethic, some his desire, some chalk it up to “old age”, but Jackson doesn’t buy any of it per Jenna Laine;

Jackson would go on to discuss his chemistry with Jameis Winston, another theory on why the star receiver has looked bad through two weeks;

We all are hoping to see a bounce back game from Jackson. With the losses of Doug Martin and Luke Stocker, the run game will suffer, putting more pressure and emphasis on the passing game. Add to that the release of Austin Seferian-Jenkins because of his unbelievable amount of stupidity, the offense will be missing some weapons for the foreseeable future.

The time is now for Jackson to return to form and help this offense. We’re not asking for a three touchdown game – although that would be nice – but we want to see that reliability and consistency he’s provided over the last four seasons. At this point, it seems as if desire, focus, and work ethic are not the reason for Jackson’s early season troubles – at least not if he’s being truthful to the media.

If there was a game where Vincent Jackson can break out and get on the same page as Winston, it’s this Sunday against the Rams. Their secondary isn’t a strong one and the safeties allow for a lot of underneath, one-on-one matchups. Maybe I was one week early on Vincent Jackson being the spotlight player of the game…
