Vikings won't trade Adrian Peterson if he's still on the roster after next week

A source close to both the Minnesota Vikings and St. Paul Pioneer-Press reporter Chris Tomasson, has revealed some new information regarding the potential trade of star running back Adrian Peterson.

Tomasson's source said that Minnesota will not look into any trade scenarios involving Peterson if they're brought to Vikings' brass after next week. The team will use the lead up to next week's draft, and the beginning of the draft weekend to look into trade offers for Peterson. Beyond that though, should AP fail to get moved in that timetable he'll remain a Viking for 2015.

Six teams were mentioned as contenders to try to trade for the future Hall of Fame back, according to the source. Peterson has already skipped the first day of voluntary workouts and is very upset at the organization, so it's no surprise that the Vikings will allow a week prior to the draft (when their leverage will be at it's highest) to explore trade options.
