Vikings star Allen loses mullet for wedding

The NFL's most ballyhooed mullet is gone.

Vikings DE Jared Allen trimmed his trademark do in anticipation of his upcoming wedding.

“The things men do for love,” Allen said.

A ferocious defender for the Vikings, Allen has played up his "business in the front, party in the back" hair for all it's worth. Allen has gone so far as to say "It's not a mullet, it's a lifestyle" and sold Mullet Mullitia tee-shirts.

He hinted on Twitter that it might come back someday.
