Vikings hire James Saxon to coach running backs
The Minnesota Vikings have hired James Saxon as their runningbacks coach.
Saxon's addition was announced by the team Monday, filling outhead coach Leslie Frazier's staff.
Saxon has been an NFL assistant for 11 years, including the lastthree as running backs coach for the Miami Dolphins. Prior to that,he was in the same role for seven seasons with the Kansas CityChiefs. Eight players he supervised, including Ronnie Brown, LarryJohnson, Tony Richardson and Priest Holmes, went to the ProBowl.
Saxon replaces Eric Bieniemy, who is the new offensivecoordinator at Colorado. Saxon played in the NFL from 1988-95 withthe Chiefs, Dolphins and Eagles.
