Vikings DT Sharrif Floyd vows to play on Sunday vs. Raiders

The Minnesota Vikings should get a key contributor back in Week 10, as defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd plans to make his return from knee and ankle injuries that have kept him out the past three games (all wins).

Floyd said he had "no problems" in his return to the practice field and vowed to play this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

The addition of Floyd should make an already strong defensive unit already stronger. Fellow defensive tackle Linval Joseph won NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his 10-tackle performance against the St. Louis Rams last Sunday; pairing him up with Floyd again should make for an absolutely devastating interior tandem.

In the first five games of the season, Floyd had nine tackles and one sack. Look for his production to explode as Minnesota's defense starts to get healthier.
