Video shows Broncos lineman Derek Wolfe uncorking a big punch during night club brawl
Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe engaged in some extracurricular activity on Saturday night when he threw a haymaker and got hit in the face with a bottle, according to witnessess who spoke with TMZ.
A TMZ video shows the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Wolfe at VIE Nightclub in Denver in a black shirt with a chain, eventually wading through a crowd before getting involved with a punch:
"Derek talked to us on Monday about the issue, and it's been addressed internally," Broncos vice president of public relations Patrick Smyth said.
Likewise, Wolfe, 26, is unlikely to face discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy.
"It doesn't appear on its face to be something that would lead to league discipline," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told the Post.
Witnesses told TMZ that Wolfe, who signed a four-year $36.7 million contract extension in January, left bloodied. It's difficult to see in the video whether Wolfe landed that punch, but if he did someone left that place in worse condition than when they arrived.
