Video Highlights: Oakland Raiders vs. Atlanta Falcons

Video highlights (and some lowlights) of the Oakland Raiders Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Oakland fell to 1-1 following the loss to Atlanta — a heartbreaking defeat that saw a poor defensive effort as too much to overcome.

The offense, for the most part, did its job. Putting 28 points on the board should be enough to win the game.

With that being said, even though this game ended in defeat for the Silver & Black, there were still several noteworthy highlights.

Here are the best plays of the game, and also a few of the worst.

In what was a near-disaster for multiple reasons, Desmond Trufant dropped an interception that would have been a terrible start for the Raiders offense. That’s the first near-disaster.

The second near-disaster was Trufant’s subsequent celebration, where he landed awkwardly on his knee. Fortunately he didn’t injure himself severely a la Bill Gramatica, and returned to the game.

Amari Cooper continues to dazzle in his young career. He jumped quite early to bring down a pass, but managed to hang in the air long enough to come down with the ball. Impressive stuff.

Another player who continues to impress in his young career is DeAndre Washington. Here is on a nice little run, showing great burst and ability to fight through some tackles.

Another lowlight came when Taiwan Jones attempted to catch a kickoff with his face, as opposed to his hands. It didn’t work.

After a quiet Week 1, Clive Walford ran free and Carr found him for a 31-yard touchdown.

David Amerson has been quite the player for the Raiders, after a disappointing tenure in Washington. This interception in the endzone was a huge play, and the celebrating was great.

Jack Del Rio is turning into quite the gambler. On 4th & 2, Carr and Crabtree connected for a touchdown.

When the 2016 NFL season is in the books, this might end up being the luckiest touchdown pass of the year.
