UNC in the NFL: A look at Tar Heels in Week 7

Zach Brown, Buffalo Bills, linebacker, #53

The Buffalo Bills lost the Miami Dolphins, 28-25. Zach Brown played a solid game, finishing with six tackles. One of his tackles is pictured above, when he tackled Miami’s Jay Ajayi.

Brown leads all defensive players with 74 tackles, continuing his strong season for the Bills.

Next week it wont get easier. The Bills will take on the New England Patriots in a big AFC East showdown.

Buffalo has already beat the Patriots once this season.

Brandon Tate, Buffalo Bills, wide receiver, #15

Brandon Tate caught two passes for 31 yards in Buffalo’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. In addition, Tate returned two kicks for 41 yards and returned one punt for 30 yards.

Tate’s punt return set up Buffalo’s first score, which was a field goal.

Tate has been used primarily as a kick returner and punt returner, though he has seen time as a wide receiver throughout his NFL career.

Connor Barth, Chicago Bears, kicker, #4

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears, 26-10. Barth scored four of Chicago’s 10 points. He made an extra point plus a 39-yard field goal.

For the season, Barth has made nine of 12 field goals. Most of his field goals range between 30-39 yards.

Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals, running back, #25

Giovani Bernard played well against the in-state rival Cleveland Browns. Bernard rushed 17 times for 80 yards and a touchdown plus he caught one reception for seven yards.

Jeremy Hill is Cincinnati’s starting running back, Bernard gets a decent share of runs. Also, Bernard is the primary receiver out of the backfield.

Cincinnati beat Cleveland, 31-17.

Shaun Draughn, San Francisco 49ers, running back, #24

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 34-17. Shaun Draughn had one run for 16 yards and caught five receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown.

Draughn is the number two running back behind the starter, Carlos Hyde.
