Twitter reacts to Browns picks, Farmer and Pettine explain
The Cleveland Browns went big instead of sexy with their two first-round picks, or as Mike Pettine called it "big sexy." The love for 12th overall pick Danny Shelton was virtually unanimous while some members of the Dawg Pound questioned the selection of offensive lineman Cameron Erving at 19.
Count Browns corner Joe Haden as in favor of the move, while Shelton's now former college coach unsurprisingly loved the pick for Cleveland.
The @Browns just got better! Congratulations to @Danny_Shelton55! I can't wait to watch you continue to dominate at the next level. #GoDawgs

NT Danny Shelton is going to look good in a #Browns uniform.

As for Erving, things got off to a rocky start, when the Browns misspelled his name when announcing the pick on Twitter.
The Browns just misspelled the name of their own 1st round pick. Sigh.... pic.twitter.com/eF1Y0uDcEi

The praise for the pick was less than unanimous, but Erving still has plenty of backers in his corner, while some Browns fans were lamenting once again why Ray Farmer refused to draft a receiver in the first round.
As for why the Browns selected the pair, allow Ray Farmer and Mike Pettine to explain, courtesy of the Plain Dealer.
