Travis Kelce Taunts Marquette King After Punt Return TD (Video)

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce taunted Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King following a Tyreek Hill punt return touchdown.

Travis Kelce was an absolute problem for the Oakland Raiders to start Thursday Night Football in Week 14. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was eating up the middle of the field at will with his quarterback, Alex Smith, dialed in. Though he didn’t have a score—those belonged to Tyreek Hill and Charcandrick West early—he was the leader in receiving yards by a wide margin. He then became the leader in taunting special teams players.

We all know Raiders punter Marquette King by now. One of the best Twitter follows in the NFL and one of the best punters in the league, King has a flair for entertaining people. Namely, he likes to celebrate the work he does with his leg.

So when Tyreek Hill got loose in the second quarter and took one of King’s punts back 78 yards to the house—while breaking a tackle attempt from Hill, no less—Kelce wasn’t going to be silenced. Of course, he then mocked King’s dancing, hitting the “Pony” dance that the punter has done several times before:

That’s the double-whammy if you’re King. Not only did one of your punts get taken back, but then you get taunted for your troubles.

In fairness, the Oakland punter probably deserved it after that kick. There’s no way he should have ever put that in the middle of the field with Hill’s speed back there. Even worse, his coverage team was gassed after there had to be a re-kick. This is what happens when you make a decision like that.
