Tom Brady taps Bruce Lee for outstanding playoff hype video

For a guy who has been there plenty of times, it seems that Tom Brady is still very excited for the playoffs.

As Brady gets ready to suit up for the Patriots' first postseason contest against the Houston Texans this weekend, he posted a pretty great hype video to his Instagram account on Friday. The video features Bruce Lee's famous "be water, my friend" speech laid over plenty of Pats highlights from this season.

“Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. When you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow, and crash. Be water, my friend.”


Lee's spiritual quote works quite well with the theme of postseason sports. It's important to be dynamic and adaptable throughout the course of a playoff run, and that's something that Brady and the Patriots have been quite good at over the years.

Now it's on the Texans to figure out how to beat water.
