Tom Brady responds to Bills fans chanting "We want Brady'

Ralph Wilson Stadium was rocking Sunday as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Indianapolis Colts 27-14 in the teams’ season opener in Orchard Park, N.Y.

The most telling sign that Bills fans are jacked and pumped for this season?

A “We want Brady!” chant broke out in the fourth quarter as Bills fans began to look ahead to their team’s Week 2 matchup against quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Brady, who kicked up his feet Sunday after guiding the Patriots to a 28-21 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night, was asked about the chant Monday on WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan.”

“Well, we’ll be there,” Brady said with a laugh. “Sunday at 1 (p.m.) is going to be a pretty exciting game. They obviously have a lot of confidence. Coach (Rex) Ryan, Rex has brought that to a lot of places he’s (coached). We’ll be ready to go."

“They’re not an easy team to prepare for, but we’ll be ready to go when the ball’s kicked off. If you love football, Sunday at 1 in Orchard Park will be a great place to be.”

All four AFC East teams won their Week 1 matchups, as the Miami Dolphins defeated the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets defeated the Cleveland Browns in addition to the wins earned by the Patriots and Bills. It could be a sign of increased competition within the division this season.

And everyone’s gunning for the defending Super Bowl champions.
