Tom Brady active after being listed questionable

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was active against the Detroit Lions on Thursday after being listed as questionable with an injured right shoulder and foot.

Brady was listed as probable in his previous two games, then played well in wins at Pittsburgh and against Indianapolis. He has started every game beginning with last year's opener after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the first game of 2008.

New England had two key players inactive. Guard Stephen Neal missed the game at Detroit because of a shoulder injury and defensive tackle Mike Wright was inactive with a neck injury and concussion.

Detroit didn't have one of its top tight ends, Tony Scheffler, because of a shoulder injury in its annual showcase game.
