Todd Bowles wants to cut off Fitzpatrick's beard to make him better

New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been known for having one of the burliest and manliest beards in all of football. Three weeks ago, he shockingly trimmed it, saying he wanted to change the "mojo" with the team. Well, the mojo has changed because all the Jets have done since he shaved is win.

They're 3-0 since then, with Fitzpatrick having thrown nine touchdowns and zero interceptions in that span. He's elevated his play of late and gotten the Jets back on track for the playoffs. Head coach Todd Bowles is obviously pleased with the way his quarterback has played, and he has a theory for how to take his game to another level.

If a little is good, more is better.

Bowles may or may not shave Fitzpatrick's beard in his sleep. If he does, it'll be for the better of the team, of course.

But with all jokes aside, Bowles couldn't have asked for much more from his quarterback. He's played so well that Bowles wants him back next season, but has yet to talk to general manager Mike Maccagnan about it. He's set to be a free agent after this season.
