Todd Bowles named to Sports Illustrated's NFL Top 100 influential people's list

The New York Jets are about to be under the control of first year head coach Todd Bowles in 2015. It will be interesting to see how his coaching style and philosophy differs from that of the departed Rex Ryan who now finds himself at the Jets AFC East rival in the Buffalo Bills.

With that in mind, The MMQB is counting down its list of the Top 100 most influential people in the NFL. On Wednesday, Bowles appeared on the list at No. 40. Here is the excerpt from the rankings:

Hopefully Bowles can turn around the Jets' fortunes and lead the team to the playoffs for the first time since 2010 when they reached the AFC Championship game. With a much improved roster thanks to the offseason additions of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Marshall, the Jets could surprise some teams in 2015.
