Titans' Jurrell Casey, Delanie Walker named to Pro Bowl
The Carolina Panthers' NFC title game victory on Sunday not only earned the team a spot in the Super Bowl, it also earned a pair of Tennessee Titans a trip to Hawaii.
Thanks to Carolina's 49-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals , tight end Greg Olsen and defensive tackle Kawann Short won't be available to play in Sunday's Pro Bowl.
With that in mind, the NFL named Tennessee tight end Delanie Walker and defensive tackle Jurrell Casey to replace the Carolina duo in the Jan. 31 all-star game in Honolulu.
Walker caught a career-high 94 passes for 1,088 yards and six touchdowns in 2015. His 94 receptions led all NFL tight ends.
Casey recorded 54 tackles and tied for the team lead with seven sacks.
Both players turned down previous opportunities to play in the Pro Bowl after being extended invitations as alternates, but said they planned to participate this year.
