Titans’ Dodd placed on ‘did not report’ list
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Titans linebacker Kevin Dodd has been placed on the ''did not report'' list, putting his future with Tennessee in question.
The first pick of the second round in 2016 out of Clemson, Dodd skipped voluntary offseason workouts before reporting for the team's mandatory minicamp in June. Dodd has started only one of 18 games played over his first two seasons, but the Titans hiring Mike Vrabel as head coach in January appeared to be the perfect chance at a fresh start for Dodd with a new coaching staff and new defensive coordinator Dean Pees.
Yet Dodd only reported to the Titans' offseason program in June when staying away would have meant a fine. He declined to talk to reporters the two days players had access to players.
Quarterbacks, rookies and players who finished the offseason program with injuries were required to report Sunday ahead of the rest of the Titans coming Wednesday with the team's first practice Thursday.
Linebacker Rashaan Evans, the No. 22 pick overall, was out with a ''non-football illness'' along with wide receiver Michael Campanaro. Defensive tackle Mike Ramsay was listed as ''non-football injury.''
As expected, starting right tackle Jack Conklin was placed on the physically unable to perform list. Conklin tore his left ACL in the team's divisional playoff loss to the Patriots in January . Tight end Phillip Supernaw also was placed on the physical unable to perform list.
