Three players who filled up the box score in Week 10
The Redskins racked up the points in a 47-14 win over the New Orleans Saints, as Cousins quarterbacked the game of his life. In a duel with none other than Drew Brees, he completed 20 of his 25 attempts (80 percent) for 324 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. Washington was the only NFC East team that won in Week 10, so Cousins’ Redskins are still very much alive in the division race at 4-5.
Adrian Peterson, running back, Minnesota Vikings
Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback, Pittsburgh Steelers
Roethlisberger’s statistics were so surprising because he wasn’t even supposed to play. Even though he was less than 100 percent with a sprained left foot, the Steelers needed him to step in when backup Landry Jones suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter. Playing in a rare relief role, Roethlisberger racked up 379 passing yards and three touchdowns. His top two receiving targets, Martavis Bryant and Antonio Brown, could not be stopped during Pittsburgh’s 30-9 beatdown of the Cleveland Browns.
