The Vikings have acquired QB Sam Bradford from the Eagles

The Minnesota Vikings acquired veteran QB Sam Bradford from the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday morning. In exchange for Bradford, the Eagles get a 2017 first-round pick and a 2018 fourth-round draft pick.

The move comes just days after Vikings starter Teddy Bridgewater suffered a season-ending knee injury in practice, and it seemingly makes Chase Daniel the Eagles' starter — at least until rookie Carson Wentz is healthy (broken ribs) and ready to take over.

In his first season with the Eagles in 2015, Bradford threw for 3,725 yards and 19 TDS (with 14 interceptions) in 14 starts. This past March, he signed a two-year, $36 million extension with Philly.

Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick by the Rams in 2010, was traded from St. Louis to Philadelphia last offseason. And the possibility of another Bradford deal exists after this season, assuming Bridgewater is healthy enough to return as Minnesota's starting QB in 2017.

Interestingly, this trade reunites Bradford with Vikings running back Adrian Peterson — the two were collegiate teammates at Oklahoma.
