The Oakland Raiders' Color Rush Jerseys Have Arrived

First look at the Color Rush uniforms of the Oakland Raiders, which will be worn for the Thursday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

After plenty of offseason speculation about the Raiders’ Color Rush uniforms — what color they would use, if they would even participate, and why a leaked chart had yellow next to their name — the official Color Rush jerseys have finally arrived.

These will be worn on December 8th, the lone Thursday night game for both Oakland and Kansas City. The uniforms are largely identical to the Raiders old AFL jerseys, and also similar to a jersey the team wore in 2010.

Personally, I love the look. The Raiders have long been praised for their clean, classic look. The Color Rush jerseys do nothing to change that. Although, keeping up with #RaidersTwitter, it seems like the majority wanted to go with all black uniforms.

The Chiefs will be wearing an all-red get-up in this game. Something they’ve done plenty of times in the past.

The Color Rush uniforms are expanding from eight teams to all 32 teams this season. An entire gallery can be seen here.

On a final note, credit to the NFL (mostly Nike) for using a monochromatic format for all of the uniforms, making them more visually-friendly to those who are color blind. Some of the jerseys last season were a disaster, and most of the 2016 jerseys are a big improvement.
