The New York Giants got a scare when Odell Beckham Jr. got 'cleated'

The New York Giants probably saw their season flash in front of their eyes Sunday, when star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. went down with an apparent injury during the team's third practice.

Beckham got tangled up with cornerback Janoris Jenkins while going for a catch and somehow suffered a couple of cuts to his left ankle from Jenkins' cleats as a result.

Beckham hit the ground, stayed there briefly, then got up to walk it off. After a few moments, he went back to the ground and then limped his way through the end zone to waiting medical personnel, according to the New York Post.

Beckham had the ankle wrapped and was still limping slightly after practice but says he'll be fine.

"After I went down, it was kind of just, ‘You’re done for the day.’ There’s plenty more days in camp, so we’ll be all right. Minor setback for the time being, I guess, the hours, the day or whatever," Beckham told reporters.

Luckily for Beckham and the Giants, there's no practice Monday, so he can get some extra rest.

“We just take it day by day. I don’t know how it’s going to feel three hours from now, I don’t know how it’s going to feel tomorrow. Just kind of let it play out."
