The main benefit the Eagles will get starting Carson Wentz
Playing Carson Wentz this season will allow him to build relationships and establish continuity with the rest of the offense.
Since the Philadelphia Eagles‘ long-time franchise quarterback Donovan McNabb left, the’ve lacked stability at the quarterback position. That may have all changed this past off-season when the Eagles traded up in the draft to select quarterback Carson Wentz. The plan was originally for Wentz to take the first year to learn and develop. Now with Sam Bradford traded to the Minnesota Vikings, Wentz has been named the new starting quarterback. That will only benefit this team in the future.

One of the biggest problems the Eagles have had in the past couple of years has been their lack of stability at the quarterback position. The offense has had to learn and adapt to a new quarterback each year. Now, with Wentz here for the long haul, the Eagles’ offense will be able to establish continuity at the quarterback position.
Tight end Zach Ertz said it best. “Everyone is excited. We are looking to establish continuity at QB, which is something we haven’t had since I’ve been here.”
It is important for the quarterback and his offense to be on the same wavelength. This season, Wentz is going to develop strong relationships with certain players. Nelson Agholor, the second year wide receiver, is also very excited about this opportunity. “I have an opportunity now to grow with somebody and I think that’s pretty cool.”
As you can see, the Eagles are going to benefit a lot this season by starting Wentz. Not only is he their best option at the moment, he is also going to make those connections with his receivers. This will be very valuable for the coming seasons.
