The Dallas Cowboys made Super Bowl history 20 years ago today

Needless to say, this wasn't the Cowboys' season. A 4-12 finish put them in last place in the NFC East, and as if four wins didn't look bad already, consider the fact that Alabama actually won more games (2) at AT&T Stadium than Dallas (1).

But on Jan. 28, fans of America's Team have reason to smile. Because exactly 20 years ago, the Cowboys accomplished an NFL first, capturing their third Super Bowl title in four years.

Those Cowboys rolled to a 12-4 record in the regular season with the likes of Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin, before knocking off Philadelphia, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh for the Vince Lombardi trophy. Smith was one of the team's 10 Pro Bowlers, rolling up 1,773 yards and 25 touchdowns and winning his fourth rushing title.

No, 2015 didn't work out like you'd hoped, Dallas fans, but just take a moment to remember how good this felt:
