Texans G Aboushi says turf toe injury won't keep him on sideline

Houston Texans guard Oday Aboushi, who suffered a turf toe injury in last Thursday night's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, said Wednesday he has no plans to miss any time.

Aboushi left the loss to Colts briefly after being injured, but returned to finish the game.

“Yeah, it is what it is, but I really like playing football and being around my teammates,” Aboushi said, per the Houston Chronicle. “I’ll be all right.”

The 24-year-old practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday. In the event he can't play Sunday against the Jaguars, second-year veteran Xavier Su'a-Filo is likely get the start for the Texans.

Aboushi, who was claimed off waivers Sept. 17 after being cut by the New York Jets, is part of a Houston offensive line that has surrendered nine sacks through the first five games.
