Texans expected stand pat at running back despite loss of Foster
The Houston Texans lost star running back Arian Foster for the season with an Achilles injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins, but according to a report, the team isn't expected to bring in outside help to fill the void.
NFL Media's Ian Rapaport said Tuesday Houston is likely to go with backups Alfred Blue, Jonathan Grimes and Chris Polk as it tries to replace Foster.
Blue started three games in place of the Foster earlier in the season as the Pro Bowl back recovered from groin surgery. Blue, in his second season out of LSU, has 60 carries for 234 yards and a touchdown.
The Texans also have rookie seventh-round pick Kenny Hilliard on the practice squad as well.
