Texans don't rank well in ESPN's QB confidence index

ESPN has released a quarterback confidence index for all 32 teams and of course the Houston Texans and Brock Osweiler are not in a good position.

Dan Graziano of ESPN has the Texans and Osweiler ranked 25th in the NFL. Here’s what he wrote:

The good news for the Texans is there will likely be some good free agent quarterback options this offseason.

Jay Cutler is expected to be cut by the Chicago Bears.

Colin Kaepernick is expected to opt out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

Tony Romo will likely be released by the Dallas Cowboys.

Tyrod Taylor may not be back with the Buffalo Bills.

So there are plenty of options for the Texans.

    Now of course the Texans will likely need to draft a quarterback. But there are plenty of guys they could bring in for 2017 that could help them win now. They need to sign someone that can come in and compete for the starting job now instead of having Osweiler, Tom Savage and possibly a rookie compete for the gig.

    The bottom line is that the Houston Texans roster is ready to win now. Not three years from now.
