Texans add running back Daryl Richardson to practice squad

The Houston Texans have added to former St. Louis Rams running back Daryl Richardson to their practice squad, the Houston Chronicle reports

 

Richardson, a former seventh-round draft pick in 2012, playing in 16 games as a rookie with the Rams, running for 475 yards on 98 carries. A season later, he appeared in eight games and ran for 215 yards.

 

The 25-year-old was signed by the Jets in December 2014, but was released at the end of training camp.

 

A former Abilene Christian standout, Richardson for 2,303 career yards and 34 touchdowns with the Wildcats.
