Teddy Bridgewater names top thing he wants to improve

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has shown significant improvement in two NFL seasons. He took over the starting job as a rookie, following that up with an NFC North title and a playoff berth in 2015.

Before embarking on his third season, Bridgewater has one area of his game in which he'd really like to improve.

Via the Vikings' official Twitter account:

With All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson leading the charge, the Vikings didn't need Bridgewater to take too many chances. He posted a decent passer rating of 88.7, but that was mostly due to a high completion percentage (65.3) and a low interception total (9). The safe decisions that yielded these numbers also resulted in the NFL's 31st-ranked passing offense (183 yards per game) and only 14 touchdown passes.

Bridgewater is only 23 years old, so there's plenty of time for him to develop into a more productive passer. The Vikings need this growth to take place in order to field a more dynamic offense in future seasons.
