Teammates are impressed with Ndamukong Suh so far
The Miami Dolphins made a big splash this offseason by adding the most prized free agent in the 2015 class in defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. It is anticipated that Suh will have a huge impact on the defense and help improve a poor rush defense.
Suh's teammates have been singing his praises all offseason and are excited about the perceived impact he will have in 2015.
“Just overall, he’s an animal,” said linebacker Jelani Jenkins. “Besides his athletic ability and just being able to take on double teams and free everybody else up, he’s got swag, he’s a presence. People are going to look out for him and when they’re looking out for him, they’re not looking out for other people. Just his whole demeanor and what it brings to the defense, we’re going to be tough to run against, pass against and we’re going to have a whole attitude to us."
However, it isn't all about Suh making each and every play. Suh's value also comes in the form of being able to command so much attention that other players can make the play instead.
“If he feels like someone can make a play, he’s more willing to put somebody else in a better position than he’s thinking about himself. If I’m over there rushing, he’ll tell me ‘go ahead and do your go-to move, I got your back if you don’t make it.’ He’s not selfish, he’s more helpful than anything man and it’s just fun being able to talk to him,” second year linebacker Chris McCain said.
Suh will look to live up to his contract and help the Dolphins snap their playoff drought in 2015.
