Steelers to host veteran WR Lance Moore

The Steelers are looking to beef up their wide receiving unit as Jerricho Cotcher and Emmanuel Sanders each hit the open market last week. Their first target is veteran wide receiver Lance Moore.

Moore, who played nine seasons in New Orleans, will meet with the Steelers, a source told FOXSports.com.

While Moore isn’t likely to be a game-changer in Todd Haley’s offense, he is sure-handed and would be a solid slot receiver amongst Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton.

After a career season in 2012, Moore hauled in 37 receptions for 457 yards and two touchdowns. A new system could be the spark he’s looking for, as he’ll be 31 by the time the season kicks off.

The Steelers could also be in the wide receiver market in the draft, which is exceedingly deep at the position.
