Steelers' Harrison to have 2nd surgery

Pittsburgh Steelers starting outside linebacker James Harrison will have his second back surgery within a two-week period.

“I'll be going back in today to do surgery again, so it's back to 6 weeks of down time instead of 5, o'well better to have caught it now instead of a month from now,” the linebacker said via his Facebook page.

Harrison, who turns 33 in May, has started 63 out of the last 64 regular season games for the Steelers.

It's not a good sign that an older player is having back surgery, but Harrison is as tough as they come and does not have much of an injury history.
