Steelers feel 'pretty good' about Ben Roethlisberger's status

By Steve DelVecchio

The Pittsburgh Steelers have already been dealt a major blow with All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, but at least their starting quarterback is expected to play.

Shortly after the team announced that Brown will not play, Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com reported that the Steelers feel “pretty good” about Roethlisberger’s chances to suit up.

Roethlisberger has not thrown in practice this week as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury he suffered on a big hit (video here) from Vontaze Burfict. Big Ben has said he considers himself day-to-day and will not play if he can’t throw the ball downfield.
