Statistics can barely tell Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr apart

The Oakland Raiders might owe their scouts a a big holiday bonus for finding passer Derek Carr.

That's because, after a breakout second season, Carr compares favorably to the Holy Grail of quarterback scouting: Green Bay Packers' star Aaron Rodgers.

Just look at how the two stack up in advance of their meeting this weekend at O.Co Coliseum.

The comparisons don't stop there. Carr and Rodgers are both California natives. They both hail from college systems and perfected odd but effective releases. Both were overlooked in the NFL Draft.

But, like the Packers, the Raiders never wavered on Carr. The statistics show that was a wise, wise choice.
