Six Points: Bills vs. Dolphins

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins will meet on Sunday in a battle of 1-1 AFC East teams as both squads look to keep pace with the first-place New England Patriots.

Richie Incognito is returning to Miami for the first time since the Bullying scandal of 2013 as he leads a struggling Bills' offensive line that surrendered eight sacks against the Patriots in Week Two.

On the other side, the struggling Dolphins suffered a disappointing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars as questions about the defense have surfaced. Ryan Tannehill and the offense will look to get Miami back on track against a stalwart Bills' defense.

Here are three keys to the game for both the Bills and Dolphins.

1. Limit Jarvis Landry in the slot

Landry has emerged as the Dolphins' best receiver, and he does most of his damage from the slot. Last week, he caught eight passes for the second consecutive game, piling up 110 yards. The Bills will need to limit Landry's production and force Tannehill to go elsewhere with his throws.

2. Keep LeSean McCoy fresh

McCoy rushed 15 times for 89 yards against New England after there were questions about his hamstring going into the game. The Bills should take a similar approach and keep him fresh by utilizing promising rookie Karlos Williams, as well. Keeping McCoy healthy all season will be key if the Bills want to have success.

3. Protect Tyrod Taylor

The Bills' offensive line looked disastrous as it gave up eight sacks against the Patriots. Although Miami's defensive line has struggled, it has a great deal of talent across the front four. The Bills will need to protect Tyrod Taylor long enough to allow plays to develop downfield, while keeping him comfortable in the pocket.

1. Get Ndamukong Suh going

Suh's tenure in Miami hasn't gotten off to the best start as he's been questioned for reportedly freelancing and ignoring coaches' play calls. Defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle will need to get Suh going to regain the defensive tackle's confidence.

2. Find Landry on offense

Landry has caught eight passes in each of the first two games of the season, and there's no reason why that trend shouldn't continue. He's easily the team's best playmaker at wide receiver and with DeVante Parker still recovering from injury and learning the offense, Landry needs to be Tannehill's No. 1 target.

3. Contain Taylor in the pocket

Taylor has rushed for more than 40 yards in each of the past two games and is always a threat to leave the pocket and pick up yards with his legs. The Dolphins will need to contain him in the pocket, possibly with a linebacker spying him. Taylor is more dangerous outside of the pocket as he has the ability to extend plays.
