Sherman fires back at Cromartie

Last week New YorK Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie criticized Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and his play as a top cornerback in the NFL.

Cromartie eluded to the fact that Sherman wasn't a top cornerback in the league because he has All-Pro safeties helping him on defense.

"Darrelle Revis has done that his whole career. I've done that. Patrick Peterson has done it. Joe Haden has done it. [Sherman] is the only defensive back that hasn't."

Sherman responded to Cromartie via ESPN. "That was unfortunate. You would think after me helping him get a Pro Bowl bid [for the 2014 season] ... We went to the Super Bowl and he wouldn't have made it to the Pro Bowl otherwise. And now he's talking bad."

The debate as to which corner is the best in the NFL is ongoing and the best cornerback label seems to change hands every season. It will be interesting to see who claims the title in 2015.
