Senquez Golson loving everything about Steelers, including praise from Brown

Steelers second-round pick Senquez Golson could be playing Major League Baseball this summer, but he's ecstatic to be right where he is.

The rookie cornerback turned down $1 million from the Boston Red Sox out of high school simply because he loved football and hoped to make it to the NFL, a decision he feels has already been validated.

"I was talking to my mom yesterday and I told her I definitely made the right decision,” Golson told Steelers.com. "Just being out here every day I am loving it."

Golson has been feeling more comfortable each day in Steelers practice learning how to play the slot, a position he's never really played before. Even Antonio Brown took notice.

"Smooth guy, doesn’t really say too much," Brown said of Golson earlier this week, via ESPN.com. "Seems like he’s focusing on his business. I’m liking what I’m seeing from him."

Golson was beyond flattered. "I couldn’t ask for better praise,” said Golson. "He is the best receiver in the league. We talked a little bit. I just love the challenge as far as guarding him, the other receivers. I love it."
