Seahawks rookie RB C.J. Prosise suffers scapula injury, will miss some time
The Seattle Seahawks probably would like to revisit their decision to cut leading rusher Christine Michael earlier this week. After the Seahawks’ 26-15 win over the Eagles, head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that rookie running back C.J. Prosise suffered a “scapula issue” that will force him to miss some time.
The timing couldn’t be worse for Prosise, who ran for a 72-yard touchdown Sunday and was expected to get more carries after Michael’s release. The injury forced the Seahawks to insert rookie backup quarterback Trevone Boykin at running back late in their win.
Michael, who was picked up by the Packers, led the Seahawks in rushing yards (469), carries (117) and rushing touchdowns (six) at the time of his release.
Thomas Rawls returned from a foot injury Sunday and rushed for 57 yards on 14 carries.
