Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell has no regrets about Super Bowl play call

The Seahawks were on the brink of winning their second straight Super Bowl.

All they had to do was hand the ball off to Marshawn Lynch, right?

But they didn't. Instead, Russell Wilson was intercepted at the goal line and the Patriots went home winners of Super Bowl XLIX.

However, Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell still stands by his decision more than six months after that fateful night in Arizona.

“That play we called will always be there to drive me," Bevell told SI's Peter King. "I wouldn’t change it, I think it was the right thing."

Bevell acknowledged it was a tough pill to swallow the next morning, but it's something he's moved past.

With the 2015 regular season just weeks away, it remains to be seen whether the Seahawks have also moved forward.
