Seahawks lose RB Jackson (ankle), CB Burley (thumb) to injuries

Running back Fred Jackson and cornerback Marcus Burley were both forced from Monday's game against the Detroit Lions due to injury.

Jackson suffered a sprained ankle when a Detroit defender landed on the back of his right leg. X-rays were negative, but Jackson will undergo an MRI exam on Tuesday.

The Seahawks are already thin in the backfield with Marshawn Lynch sitting out Monday's game with an ailing hamstring, but coach Pete Carroll said he is hopeful Lynch will be available for Sunday's game versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Burley, who broke his right thumb, was sporting a large cast on his hand after the game and is unsure if he will be able to play with the injury. In addition, wide receiver Ricardo Lockett had to exit the game due to shortness of breath.
