Seahawks' Kam Chancellor reveals what he learned from his holdout
Kam Chancellor is one of the key pieces to Seattle's vaunted Legion of Boom. So it didn't surprise many football fans that the Seahawks lost their first two games of last season as Chancellor was holding out in the hopes of getting a new contract.
The team did not relent and Chancellor, who signed a four-year, $28 million deal before the 2013 season, reported before the Seahawks' Week 3 win against the Bears.
The four-time Pro Bowl safety sat down with the Seattle Times and discussed what lessons he learned from the holdout and his importance to the team.
Seattle has done a commendable job keeping its core group together, especially on defense. With Chancellor, Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas in the secondary, the Seahawks' defense is one of the most feared in the league.
