Seahawks GM John Schneider wants to know RB Marshawn Lynch's plans 'soon'
Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on Wednesday he would like know what running back Marshawn Lynch's plans are for next season "soon."
Lynch, who rushed for 1,306 yards and 13 TD in 2014, has been contemplating retirement, according to reports.
Lynch, 29, held out last year as well, but eventually restructured the terms to get $6 million fully guaranteed and didn’t pay any fines for the holdout. This season, Lynch will cost $8.5 million against the cap with a $5 million in base salary. It is the final year of his deal.
Lynch, who has been a workhorse during the Seahawks' back-to-back Super Bowl runs the past two seasons, is said to be mulling retirement amid chronic back pain.
