Sammy Watkins' latest rehab update should make Bills fans happy

The Buffalo Bills were dealt a bit of a blow earlier in the offseason when Sammy Watkins underwent surgery to repair a fracture in his foot. The timetable is a tricky one as it's a similar injury to those that Dez Bryant and Julian Edelman suffered last season.

Initially, the Bills weren't sure when he'd be back, which put into question the start of the season for Buffalo's stud receiver. And just a few weeks ago, he said he may not be ready in time for camp, saying "If not, then cool. Get ready for the first game."

On Friday, Watkins shared a promising update in the form of a video of himself running full stride at a considerable speed with the caption "Back on top soon."

Granted, this doesn't mean Watkins is anywhere close to being 100 percent and foot injuries have to be cared for with a great deal of caution, but it's a good sign. So long as the Bills don't rush him back too quickly the way Bryant did, he should be a full-go for 2016.
