Sam Shields to miss Packers' Wild Card game vs. Redskins

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Cornerback Sam Shields will miss the Green Bay Packers' wild-card playoff game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday because of a concussion.

The Packers updated their injury report following practice on Saturday morning.

Shields also missed the final three games of the regular season after getting hurt in a 28-7 victory over Dallas on Dec. 13. He is Green Bay's most experienced cornerback.

The task of defending Redskins deep threat receiver DeSean Jackson will likely fall to rookie Damarious Randall or fourth-year pro Casey Hayward.

The Packers also downgraded backup linebacker Jayrone Elliott to doubtful because of a quadriceps injury.

Starting left tackle David Bakhtiari remains questionable with an ankle injury. Bakhtiari protects quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind side.
