Saints 28, Vikings 21

Brett Favre was shaken up and favoring his left leg after absorbing a hard hit while throwing an interception late in the third quarter of the NFC championship game between Minnesota and New Orleans.

Saints defensive end Bobby McCray hit Favre low and from behind, while and defensive tackle Remi Ayodele hit him high and landed on him right as he threw Sunday night. Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma stepped in front of the pass for the interception at the New Orleans 28-yard line, leaving the score tied at 21.

Favre, who has started 309 straight games including the playoffs, was initially helped off the field by trainers, but returned, limping slightly, for Minnesota's next offensive series starting the fourth quarter.
