Ryan Fitzpatrick reportedly agrees to a 1-year deal with the Jets
The New York Jets opened training camp without Ryan Fitzpatrick on Wednesday, but it didn't take long for the two sides to get a deal done.
The quarterback has agreed to return to New York for the 2016 season on a one-year deal for $12 million, fully guaranteed.
Fitzpatrick, 33, led the Jets to a 10-6 record last season while throwing for a career-best 3,905 yards and 31 touchdowns. His 15 interceptions tied him for fifth-most in the league, however, and his 59.6 percent completion rate ranked just 29th.
