Ryan: Dallas fans may want to stay home

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan on Wednesday said any Dallas Cowboys fans planning to come to New Jersey's MetLife Stadium for Sunday's game might be better served staying at home.

Ryan always talks off the cuff, and it sounded like he was trying to make a joke, but it was ill-timed considering recent fan violence at stadiums in Los Angeles and San Francisco at baseball and football games, and in England at a soccer game this week.

"I don't know why they'd be here," Ryan said. "They're coming into our stadium. It's probably not recommended that you wear Cowboys stuff, I would think."

The Cowboys have not faced the Jets in New Jersey since 2003.
