Russell Wilson's agent: 'It's hard to argue that Wilson doesn't win'

It seems like everyday a new report pops up about the contract situation of Russell Wilson. The latest has Wilson's agent Mark Rodgers giving reasons why he deserves to be the richest player in football.

“With Russell, he’s unique, so let the debate begin,” Rodgers told TCPalm.com, via Pro Football Talk. “He’s unconventional in size. People argue that he’s a game manager or say it’s the defense or Marshawn Lynch— or all of the above. I listen and take all that into account. At the end of the day, it’s about winning and what he’s asked to do and he does it very, very well.”

Wilson doesn't put up the numbers of Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers, but Wilson's agent Rodgers is right that his client is a winner. In three seasons, Wilson has been to two Super Bowls, won one, and to the playoffs in all three seasons. He has compiled 42 wins, including the playoffs through his first three years in the league.

“I don’t have to argue statistics with the Seattle Seahawks on the value of Russell Wilson,” Rodgers said. “In football, the most important stat to me has always been ‘Does he win?’ It’s hard to argue that Russell Wilson doesn’t win.”

The Seahawks may argue that it may be difficult to continue winning at their current pace if they pay Wilson $25 million annually.
