Russell Wilson says his scary knee injury should have kept him out 4 weeks

It sounds like the Seattle Seahawks should be thankful Russell Wilson didn’t miss a game after his scary knee injury he suffered in Week 3 against the 49ers. The Seahawks' franchise quarterback revealed Thursday that he initially was told he would be out at least four weeks.

Wilson was diagnosed with an MCL sprain but didn’t miss a game. He actually had his most productive game of the season a week after the injury, completing 23 of 32 attempts for 309 yards and three touchdowns against the Jets.

Wilson has been somewhat lackluster this season, ranking 19th in passing yards (1,559) and having accounted for just five touchdowns — all passing. The Seahawks, who are coming off a tie against the Cardinals, hope he can return to form this week against the Saints.
